Our products are sourced from a renowned Japanese camera retailer with nearly a century of expertise in photography equipment. Their dedicated pre-owned division employs certified technicians who professionally inspect every camera, lens and accessory before listing.

Each item undergoes a comprehensive multi-point inspection covering exterior condition, optical elements (dust, fungus, haze, scratches), mechanical operation (shutter, autofocus, stabilisation), electronic functions (LCD, EVF, menus) and sensor condition. Items are then assigned a standardised condition grade from AA (like new) to C (significant wear).

This systematic grading process, combined with detailed condition notes for each listing, gives you full transparency and confidence when purchasing pre-owned camera equipment from Japan.

Condition Grading

We use Kitamura's professional condition grading system for cameras and lenses. Each item is assessed by qualified technicians based on appearance, optical condition and mechanical functionality. AA — Like NewNo signs of use, like new condition

A — ExcellentMinimal signs of use, trace dust inside with no effect on image quality

AB — Very GoodMinor scratches or wear, small amount of dust with no effect on image quality

B — GoodNoticeable scratches, wear or shine marks, fully functional

C — FairMultiple flaws, may have fungus, haze or separation, may affect image quality

D — For PartsMalfunctioning, for parts or collection only

Condition descriptions refer to the item itself and may not cover the condition of outer boxes, lens caps, hoods, chargers or other accessories (if included).
